Von Tilzer, Harry, composer, author, publisher, theatrical producer, actor; b. Detroit, Mich., July 8, 1872; d. New York, N.Y., Jan. 10, 1946. ASCAP 1914 (charter member). At fourteen began professional career first with circus then with repertoire shows, composing original songs used in own performances.
